August 20th, 2009 - In direct response to results from their latest research project Aqilla has launched a series of web seminars to help guide organisations through a potential investment in a web-based accounting solution.
The research, conducted at a series of events held across the country by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), highlighted that 82 per cent of respondents used web-based solutions within their business. The applications were mainly centred around critical business data associated with HMRC and banking services. The benefits that organisations were gaining from these solutions could easily be extended to their accountancy solution.
Web-based applications offer businesses of any size access to the latest technology without the need for investment in hardware or software licences, maintenance contracts or management. For a low monthly fee, users can securely access their finance systems via the internet from wherever they are, using a web browser.
The short, sharp, no-nonsense, online sessions - lasting around 20 minutes - have a single aim: To quickly and simply demystify current hot topics within the accounting industry. The presentations cover a range of subjects including: Accounting Software as a Service (Do you know your SaaS from your elbow?), Accounting for the 21st Century and Beyond! and Integrating on-demand accounting with Excel.
