Support Consultant

(Waterloo, London) - £20 - 30k

Job Description

Suitable for an experienced accounting, business or technology professional, this full time role based at our offices in Waterloo is being created to extend the support services available to customers of our highly respected cloud based accounting and business solution. Although primarily office based there will be a requirement to visit client premises from time to time. This position which would suit someone looking to gain further experience whilst at the same time develop a range of valuable Consultancy skills.
  • Providing first and second line support to end users of our Cloud based, mid range accounting and business system

  • Provide telephone based consultancy guidance to clients as required

  • Monitoring of outstanding support issues such that the company provides a timely response to the originator to provide advice on any issues raised

  • Logging of all new support calls received by telephone or email

  • If a problem with software is suspected, re-create the problem. If a bug is identified or is difficult to reproduce, escalate to the development teams

  • Create and maintain appropriate end-user documentation

  • Provide support statistics as required

  • Maintain a good record of all support activity on appropriate CRM / support database in use at the time, updating customer contact information as required

Skills & Experience
  • Good knowledge of general accounting and business principles

  • Knowledge of Aqilla or practical experience of working with other accounting software solutions especially SunSystems, NetSuite, FinancialForce, Dynamics, SAP B1 would be advantageous

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Excellent and confident communicative skills

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (in particular Excel)

  • Basic knowledge of SQL (desirable but not essential)

  • General understanding of Mac, PC and other client operating systems
