Reports to: Chief Sales Officer (CSO)

Location: Largely home-based but with a requirement to visit the office in Waterloo (London) periodically as well as customer visits across the country (and possibly overseas).

To this point, we have successfully and largely organically, built up a loyal customer base alongside a few strategic partnerships. We are now looking for an accomplished Account Manager to support and grow our existing customers.

This role will suit an accomplished account manager with a growth mindset, looking for the next step in their sales career or someone with a strong understanding of finance and strong customer relationship skills looking to move into the sales industry. 

Main responsibilities

  • Support, grow and maintain Aqilla’s Key Accounts
  • Commit Key Accounts to long-term contracts away from the SaaS model
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Maintain a regular sales forecast for senior management review.
  • Identify and cultivate additional opportunities from customers to maximise revenues.
  • Maintain a regular report on key account status
  • Provide feedback to sales and marketing teams on any relevant market or business intelligence gained by engaging with customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with customers and colleagues 
  • Manage day-to-day client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects
  • Co-ordinate colleague expertise to support customer needs as required
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of engagement initiatives to management
  • Refine/develop the customer retention strategy

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • A self-starting, farming mentality 
  • A highly effective communicator (written, oral) and presentation skills (in-person, virtual).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of accounting principles would be advantageous
  • Experience within a software sales environment would be advantageous
  • Experience in building relationships at C-suite and operational level both remotely and face-to-face
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
  • Experience of mid-market accounting and business solutions market desirable.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships at C-suite and operational level both remotely and face-to-face
