Reports to: Chief Sales Officer (CSO)

Location: Largely home-based but with a requirement to visit the office in Waterloo (London) periodically as well as customer visits across the country (and possibly overseas).

To this point, we have successfully and largely organically, built up a loyal customer base alongside a few strategic partnerships. We are now moving into a growth phase which the expansion of our partnership reach will hugely support. This role will help shape and support the business’s growth strategy over the coming years and we are looking for a hardworking hunter to drive this area of growth for the business both here in the UK and overseas. 

 

This role will suit an individual who is looking for their next step in partnership sales or maybe someone looking to move from an inside sales role into the field. Understanding the channel sales space is important and a desire to win new business is key alongside the management and growth of existing partners.

Main responsibilities

  • Increase revenue by maintaining and developing close, productive, profitable and mutually beneficial sales relationships with existing 3rd party resellers and new partner organisations.
  • Establish and build additional relationships within existing partners to further our effectiveness in supporting them.
  • Motivate and support partners to maintain and increase revenues for the company.
  • Identify, target and recruit new partners where mutual benefit can be achieved in line with common values and goals.
  • Maintain a regular sales forecast for senior management review.
  • Provide feedback to sales and marketing teams on any relevant market or business intelligence gained by engaging with partners.
  • To ensure that new partners and other distribution models generate minimal conflict with existing channels to market.
  • Ensure that partners understand that Aqilla is committed to helping them achieve their objectives as well as its own.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with customers and colleagues 
  • Work with partners to develop their product knowledge and go-to-market strategy
  • Support partners, where necessary, with their sales cycles (responding to technical questions, supporting demos etc…)
  • Refine/develop the partner acquisition strategy

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • A self-starting, hunter mentality 
  • A highly effective communicator (written, oral) and presentation skills (in-person, virtual).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of accounting principles would be advantageous
  • Proven experience selling an IT geared technology product or solution.
  • Experience in Channel Sales
  • Experience of mid-market accounting and business solutions market desirable.
  • Strong business development selling skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of sales achievement against targets.
  • Third-party channel management experience.
  • Excellent pipeline management and new business development.
  • Experience of a complete range of sales cycles.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Experience of building relationships at C-suite and operational level both remotely and face-to-face
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required across the UK (and potentially overseas)
  • Clean Driving licence
  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Number of reseller partners appointed

  • Effective and efficient use of Aqilla resources.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Maintain a solid awareness of the market and competition
  • Have the ability to demonstrate and pitch the merits of the Aqilla software
