Really Simple Systems - one of the world's largest Cloud CRM vendors, have released the findings of their recent research into the adoption of Cloud vs. In-House systems.
Our fellow cloud solution providers, Really Simple Systems - one of the world's largest Cloud CRM vendors, have released the findings of their recent research into the adoption of Cloud vs. In-House systems. We are delighted to see that their findings show the gap around cloud versus in-house solutions is narrowing with only 61% of respondents now using traditional in-house ERP/Accounting solutions (down from 69% in 2011) and that over 50% of respondents expressed confidence in online ERP/Accounting systems over traditional in-house. Furthermore, only 15% of respondents admitted to still having some reservations on the adoption of cloud systems; a vast improvement on the 23% in last year’s survey.
John Paterson, CEO of Really Simple Systems comments, “Although the survey shows that only 17% of companies have switched to cloud accounting, what is striking is that 68% say that they are confident in cloud systems. As companies renew their accounting systems we will see a steady move away from in-house accounting systems to cloud systems.”
From a sample of 685 respondents, the majority from small and medium-sized organisations with less than 50 employees, over half revealed that they believe cloud solutions offer better value than in-house equivalents (up on last year’s 44% to 50.1%). Furthermore, confidence in cloud solutions overall has increased substantially, with 72% of respondents claiming to have more confidence generally that a year ago and 80% saying they thought cloud solutions required less IT support.
With confidence in hosted solutions increasing substantially, of those surveyed, 56% are using a cloud CRM system, compared to 45% this time last year. Furthermore, only 15% of respondents admitted to still having some reservations on the adoption of hosted systems; a vast improvement on the 23% in last year’s survey.
