Important update: Aqilla announces end of support for Microsoft Internet Explorer

(IE11 and any prior versions)

In 2015 Microsoft released Edge as the browser to supersede Internet Explorer (IE). Since then IE has not received major updates, or added support for many modern web standards.

IE11 logoMicrosoft recently discouraged the use of Internet Explorer as a default browser and as a result we have seen a corresponding significant decrease in Aqilla usage with IE11.

To allow us to continue to take advantage of modern web standards to deliver improved functionality and the best possible user experience across all of our products, we have decided to end support for IE11 as of 31 March 2020.

What does end of support for IE11 mean?
End of support means we will not fix bugs that are specific to IE11, and we will begin to introduce features that aren’t compatible with this browser.

Users will not be able to use Internet Explorer following any major updates to Aqilla after 31 March 2020.

When is this happening?
For all Aqilla cloud based products, support will end on 31 March 2020.

What this means for you
In preparation for the end of support dates, we recommend users switch to a more up to date browser as soon as possible. Examples include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or MacOS Safari.

What will change after 31 March 2020?
Users will benefit from new security and usability features that will enhance their experience when using Aqilla. All updates will continue to be provided at no extra cost as part of the regular subscription based service.
