Product Release: 1905

Over the past weekend we rolled out the latest release of our class leading accounting and business platform. The latest version includes a string of product enhancements adding a number of new features, as well changes designed to enhance overall product stability and provide even more robust security for users.
For example in our built in expense management & processing certain expense types are now protected (made unavailable) if the user no longer has rights to use it.

The protection of Home Screen Gadgets is now also more rigourously enfornced. Gadgets are no longer displayed if the user has no permissions to use them. If any users are wondering where their gadget has gone following this release, we’d suggest they talk to the person with administrative permissions to add the gadget’s permission to the appropriate role or make it unprotected.

Fig 1. Users now have even more flexibility as regards the behaviour of individual instances (and multiple companies configured therein).

HMRC continue to make changes to the MTD (Making Tax Digital) specifications and have recently introduced “MTD fraud prevention headers” which Aqilla now supports out of the box. This is essentially data that users will not see but is collected for each submission and sent automatically to HMRC.

We’re also, on a more technical footing, excited about a new Aqilla Query API, which although at a “Technical Preview” stage, will provide even more utility for integrations with 3rd party systems and platforms.

There’s more to come soon. Keep checking here for details.
