Sharperlight Licensing

Introduction

Sharperlight is licensed on a per user per month (PUPM) basis as follows:

  • Full Use - Named User basis - any number of users; each user can always logon
  • Full Use - Concurrent User basis - any number of users; only some can logon at the same time
  • Web Use - Concurrent User basis - any number of users; only some can logon at the same time
  • A Full Use licence entitles a user to build, publish and run Sharperlight reports - with / through MS Excel and /or other tools
  • A Web Use licence only entitles a user to access published Sharperlight reports through a browser
  • You can change your Sharperlight licensing at any time

Ordering Sharperlight

When you order Sharperlight for Aqilla we will set up a Sharperlight service for you on our Sharperlight server. You need to tell us:

  • What you want your Sharperlight service to be called - e.g. MegaCorp plc
  • What Aqilla instance (main instance) will hold user authentication details - e.g. megacorp-main
  • Which Aqilla instances you want to be accessible from Sharperlight - e.g. megacorp-main; megacorp-uk; megacorp-de
  • Which users in your main instance are to be able to log in to Sharperlight - we just need Login Name
  • Which users in your main instance are to have Full Use and which are to have Web Use
Information Contact your Account Manager to place an order for Sharperlight.

Changing User Count / User Type

You can change the number and type of Sharperlight users at any time but this will affect your licence fee.

Information Contact your Account Manager to request user count / user type changes.

Using Sharperlight to Access Multiple Aqilla Instances

There is no additional licence fee to access more than one Aqilla instance; in fact Sharperlight is commonly used for consolidation.

Information Contact Support to request changes to the list of Aqilla instances linked to your Sharperlight service.
Information Contact Support if you wish to restrict access to instances by user.
