Users can now link directly to the Debtor Edit view from the Customer Edit view and back again to simplify the creation of new and maintenance of existing customers and suppliers.
When creating a new Customer or Supplier, by clicking on the Account Button the system jumps straight to the Account details screen where controls including payment terms, bank details, bank transaction import rules, account notes (where multiple time-stamped comments and attachments can be stored) in a couple of clicks.
There is also a new additional Supplier level master document attachment option.
The VAT 100 report view can now display reports created through the MTD process. This avoids the need to log into HMRC to be able to view the reports.
From 1 January 2021, following the end of the Brexit Transition Period, and if you’re a UK VAT-registered business, you will need to account for import VAT on your VAT Return (also called postponed VAT accounting). Full details of the new regulations can be found here.
To support the new arrangements additional options have been included into the definition of VAT Rates with Aqilla.
When defining Reverse Charge VAT it is now possible to define whether VAT boxes 1, 4, 6, & 7 or just boxes 1, 4, & 7 are to be reported as is the case for PVA.
Enquiries now support the operators EQUAL ABS and NOT EQUAL ABS for values fields that can be signed. For instance, Base Value EQUAL ABS 1000 will return any transaction that has a value of either 1000.00 C or 1000.00 D.
Standard Texts can be restricted to individual companies and a separate default set against each company, which is very handy when processing multiple company transactions in a consolidated Aqilla instance.
The maximum number of displayed rows in user defined Top N gadgets on a user’s Home screen has been increased to 20 so for example you can now list Top 20 Debtors at a glance every time you log in.
Expense and Timesheet Enquiry now supports filters for SELF and NOT SELF. This can be particularly useful when creating generic gadgets showing documents owned (or not owned) by the current user.
